Daniel Micah Lewis Its for Gotham @ItsForGotham

Micah Lewis is a trombonist/photographer hailing from the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC.  Lewis currently studies jazz trombone and classical piano at New York University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree. He plays in various jazz, indie, rap, and electronic groups throughout the tri-state area. Born in the early 90’s, Lewis grew up hearing sounds from the Motown, hard bop and Renaissance hip hop eras. Those influences would later expand into electronic, classical, and many genres of world music. Lewis credits having a diverse ethnic background as his influences for different tastes in music. A self-proclaimed, “Synethesiac”, Lewis has a brain power that allows him to “see” sounds and “hear” colors. A rare trait that has led him to a peak in his creative and personal life. Lewis is fascinated at the power of music and has a genuine love for creating art.
