Please join Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer for: State of the Borough 2019 What is Urban Policy Now? Guests will include: Maya Wiley, former counsel to Mayor de Blasio, former Chair of the Civilian Complaint Review Board, and current professor of Urban Policy and Management and Senior Vice President for Social Justice at The New School. Juan Gonzalez, former columnist for the New York Daily News (for almost 30 years) and the author of Harvest of Empire, News for All the People, and Reclaiming Gotham: Bill de Blasio and the Movement to End America’s Tale of Two Cities. Jonathan Bowles, Executive Director of the Center for an Urban Future, a think tank that serves as a catalyst for smart and sustainable policies to reduce inequality, increase economic mobility, and grow the economy in New York City. JoAnn Yoo, Executive Director of Development at the Asian American Federation (which works with the over 60 nonprofits that represent the pan-Asian community) and a member of the board of directors of the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York.
