The Macaulay Honors College  Debating Society представляет 1st NASA Astrobiology Debates в NYC в 2015 году.

Join featured experts including Matthew O’ Dowd, a Lehman College professor of Astrophysics and host of PBS’s “Space Time” program, George Andreopoulos of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and CUNY Graduate Center and Emily Rice, a CSI professor of Astrophysics working at the American Museum of Natural History. They will be preceeded by debaters from The George Washington University, NYU, Columbia, and the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY in pondering the question of whether “An overriding ethical obligation to protect and preserve extraterrestrial microbial life and ecosystems should be incorporated into international law.”

From 12:30pm to 5:00pm this Sunday, November 15th at the 35 West 67th Street’s Macaulay Honors College. Please bring a photo ID if you do not have a student ID!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Best transportation option is the #1 train 66th street station or the B/C trains at the 72nd street station.

The reception afterwards will include crab cakes, crudite and lots more!

May I bring friends? Do they have to be college students?

Yes! They do not have to be students, and they’ll be admitted as long as they have photo ID.
