The Brooklyn Media Maker Weekend is an event that helps observe dynamic media making via community access. Taking place at the BRIC Arts | Media House, the conference presents a collections of workshops and lectures to introduce, inform and enhance the public’s knowledge of using television-related technology and Brooklyn Free Speech resources to create optimal programming, including podcasting, marketing and distributing. The three day event also serves as a celebration of community access and its importance to Brooklyn as well as the rest of the country.

The Media Center gives Brooklynites the tools and know-how to professionally create and cablecast their own television programs on the New York Emmy-nominated Brooklyn Free Speech, and produces non-commercial television programs that reflect the borough’s diversity of thought and culture. We provide a voice for Brooklynites just like you to air their hopes, dreams, and aspirations to the world.
The Media Center provides all Brooklynites with access to television studio facilities, equipment, and free or low-cost media training. We are located in the heart of the Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District at BRIC Arts | Media House, 647 Fulton Street Brooklyn NY.
