This show is part of braiNY, a series of public lectures about the brain, and Brain Awareness Week, the global campaign to promote awareness of progress and benefits of brain research. Drunk Science is an event hosted by comedians Joanna Rothkopf (staff writer at Jezebel), Shannon Odell (neuroscience PhD candidate at Weill Cornell) and Jordan Mendoza (once was pre-med). In each show, three intoxicated comedians compete to present the best scientific dissertation to a panel of real scientists.
8:00pm-10:00pm Improv NOW! – Wednesday Improv Scenework Class 8-10pm ($10)
This is a weekly improv class appropriate for all levels (including beginners) taught every Wednesday from 8-10pm. The focus will be on scenework, rather than games, which is considered long-form improv. There is also a Thursday evening class every other week that focuses more on games (short-form improv), though all the improv classes will have elements of both short and long-form.
